More than HOA management. It's your community.

The HOA industry's dominant language is management.
✴️ HOA management
✴️ Property management
✴️ Association management
✴️ Management software

But homeowners don't experience their neighborhood as something being "managed."

Rather, they experience home and neighbors--a sense of belonging. They experience decisions that affect the place they live, or rules they may or may not understand, or money they want to know is being used responsibly, or the occasional inconvenience that becomes something bigger because no one communicated why.

Somewhere along the way, the industry built a lot of technology around the administration of communities without spending nearly as much time thinking about the human experience of living in one. That's an important distinction.

Because a board can have better software and still struggle to get people involved. A homeowner can have access to every governing document and still not understand a process or decision.

A community can have email, a website, Facebook, newsletters and a portal--and people can still feel like they don't know what's going on. The problem isn't always a lack of information. Sometimes it's the distance between information and understanding. Between a decision and the context behind it. Between a board trying to govern responsibly and a homeowner simply trying to understand what is happening in the place they call home.

That's one of the questions we're thinking a lot about as we build InsideHOA:

What changes when we stop designing only for the management of a community--and start designing for the people who actually live in it?
